Compression Agent restarts constantly due to device marked as removable.
Cause:
The PCMCIA hard disk that Compression Agent is being run on is marked as a removable device in Device Manager.
Solution:
Double-click the 'System' icon in 'Control Panel'. Click the 'Device Manager' tab. Select 'Disk drives' and select the appropriate device. Clear the 'Removable' check box.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'System' icon. (The 'System Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Device Manager' tab.
5) Double-click 'Disk drives'.
6) Select the appropriate drive.
7) Click 'Properties'. (The '<drive> Properties' dialog box for the selected device appears, where <drive> is the drive letter of the selected device.)

8) Click the 'Settings' tab.
9) Clear the 'Removable' check box in the 'Options' group.

10) Click 'OK' to close the drive 'Properties' dialog box.
11) Click 'OK' to close the 'System Properties' dialog box. (The 'System Settings Change' dialog box appears.)
12) Click the 'Yes' button to restart the computer and to make the changes take effect.
